Orchestra Fun

Last Sunday night I had my orchestra girls over to my house for a movie night. We watched “August Rush” while eating popcorn, apples & carrots with peanut butter, cookies, and quesadillas. It was a nice night of bonding for the three of us.

Today, the weather was surprisingly nice, so I took our class outside to play. As my friends from Wheaton know, it’s hard to keep me inside on a nice day, so I’m glad the girls also wanted to be outside! It was good practice for them to play in a wide open space. They had to work a lot harder to make a big sound, especially with only two of them. I’m excited by their progress; as the only ones playing their parts, they cannot slack off. It is a great learning experience for them. I only hope that more can join in the fun of playing in orchestra!
